Dopo il successo del Quintetto al terzo Festival del Jazz di Sanremo, il 19 gennaio 1958, Walter Guertler, presidente della Saar, si convinse che era tempo di realizzare un album dedicato al genere californiano.
L’anno dopo, pubblicò per la Music il citato disco, la cui formazione era composta da Oscar Valdambrini, Gianni Basso, Renato Sellani, Giorgio Azzolini e Gianni Cazzola. Segnaliamo la particolare interpretazione di
“Parlami d’amore Mariù”.

After the third successfully Quintet Jazz Festival in Sanremo, taken in January 19, 1958, Walter Guertler, president of Saar, became convinced that it was time to make an album dedicated to the Californian genre.
The following year, he published on the label Music, the mentioned Album, the band was composed by Oscar Valdambrini, Gianni Basso, Renato Sellani, Azzolini Giorgio and Gianni Cazzola. We point out the particular
interpretation of “Parlami d’amore Mariù”.
